There are Four Fire Departments that Leonidas Fire Department works with on a regular basis, they include Mendon,Colon,Athens
and South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority.
We run an average of 100 calls per year. About 20 to 30% of the calls are mutual aids. We have automatic
mutual aid with Mendon on structure fires and usually run with the surrounding townships on structure fires.
Extrication Training
On mutual aids we roll out of the station with a 3500 gallon tanker and a 1750 gpm pumper which carries up to 5 firefighters
depending on if the other department asks for manpower.
